Our staff is known for providing comfortable and personalized service to everyone who visits our office. We greet every patient with a smile, and our practice is known for comprehensive dental care, friendly service, and personalized treatment. We have a 7,000 square foot facility designed by renowned architect and dentist Dr. Michael Unthank. The team at our office is composed of dental professionals with countless years of experience, current CE training, and customer service skills. Dr. Wm. Ashley Moorman:
Dr. Ashley Moorman was born in Beaufort, South Carolina while his father was stationed at Parris Island as a Dentist in the Navy. His father, Dr. Bill Moorman, moved the family back to Valdosta to start his private practice in 1971. Ashley grew up in Valdosta and in his father’s dental office. He graduated Valdosta High School in 1988. Athens was next where he graduated with a B.S. degree in Zoology in 1992. Ashley was a member of Alpha Tau Omega and routinely made the Dean’s list. Aspiring to be a dentist since he was a young boy, Ashley attended the Medical College of Georgia and obtained his dental degree (DMD) in 1996. Upon graduation, he moved back to Valdosta and practiced with his father for two years as he learned from his mentor. Dr. Ashley Moorman bought a practice in Quitman, Georgia in 1998 and maintained a solo practice in Valdosta as well. As the two practices grew, he took on a partner, Dr. Barclay Woodward, in 2000 and Advanced Dental Care was born.
Dr. Ashley Moorman is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and theAmerican Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has served as a member of GADPAC, a delegate to the House of Representatives, and a member of the Board of Trustees in the Georgia Dental Association. Dr. Ashley Moorman has served as President of theSouth Western District Dental Association and as President of the Quad County Dental Association. He has chaired the advisory committee of the Dental Assisting Program and is currently on the advisory committee of the Dental Hygiene Program at Valdosta Technical Institute. He has also served on the advisory committee for the Dental Hygiene Program at Darton College. Dr. Ashley Moorman is a part time Clinical Instructor at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. He is a volunteer dentist at the LAMP Indigent Dental Clinic in Valdosta, a local coordinator of Children’s Dental Health Month, and a member of the Valdosta/Lowndes schools Community Partner in Education Program.
Dr. Ashley Moorman has been awarded a Fellowship into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an international dental honor organization, for his dedication to his profession and his leadership roles with organized dentistry.
Dr. Ashley Moorman is also very dedicated to continuing education programs. He has studied at numerous advanced dental training facilities, including the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies, the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education, the Ross Nash Institute, the Hornbrook Group, the Drevenstedt Group, and the Schuster Center. Dr. Ashley Moorman consistently exceeds the amount of continuing education required by the Georgia Board of Dentistry by as much as two to three times a year.
Dr Ashley is currently on the Board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in South Georgia. He helps with local FCA school chapters including Valwood High School where he is on the Board of the Valwood Valiant Club. He served as President of the Long Pond Property Owners Association (Twin Lakes). Dr Ashley was on the Board of Quail Unlimited here in Valdosta.
Dr. Ashley Moorman has been married to the former Melanie Chasteen of Fitzgerald, Georgia since April of 1998. Melanie is employed by ADC as a Bookkeeper and handles all accounts payable. She graduated from the University of Georgia as a Finance major and as an Alpha Delta Pi in 1993. Melanie and Ashley have three wonderful boys Ashton born 2001, Bay born 2003, and Mills born 2007.
Dr. J. Barclay Woodward
Dr. Woodward was born in Beaufort, South Carolina while his father was stationed at Parris Island as a Marine Drill Sergeant. The family soon returned home to Valdosta after his father fulfilled his duty to his country and to the Marine Corps. Dr. Woodward graduated from Valdosta High School in 1989. After graduation, he began his studies at Valdosta State College, and went on to graduate from the University of Georgia in 1993 with a degree in Biology. At the University of Georgia, Dr. Woodward was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society, and was also a presidential scholar who consistently made the Dean’s list. Dr. Woodward received his degree in Dentistry (DMD) from the Medical College of Georgia in 1998, and was honored by the school of dentistry with a SWDDA scholarship and a merit award for undergraduate studies of removable denture prosthodontics.
Dr. Woodward is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Georgia Dental Association, the Quad County Dental Association, GADPAC, and the Southwestern District Dental Association. Dr. Woodward is a part-time Clinical Instructor at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. Drs. Dr. Woodward is a clinical product evaluator for Dentsply Caulk, executive committee member of the Greater Valdosta United Way, an advisory committee member for the Valdosta Technical Institute Schools of Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting, and a Community Partner in Education for the Valdosta City School System. He participates in Children’s Dental Health Month and volunteers at the LAMP Indigent Dental Clinic at Val-Tech.
Dr. Woodward has been married to the former Courtney Bryan of Lilburn, Georgia since April, 2000. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 1997 with a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance. Courtney is employed by Novartis Pharmaceuticals as a sales consultant. Barclay and Courtney have two beautiful daughters; Kate, born November 2005 and Meg, born November 2008.
Dr. Rebekah Hancock
Dr. Hancock was born and raised in Valdosta, Georgia where she attended Valdosta High School followed by Valdosta State University for her undergraduate studies. During her tenure at VSU, she was published in multiple articles for cancer research, and worked as both an insurance agent and a dental assistant to support her education. She graduated with both a Biology and a Chemistry degree.
She and her husband, Joseph, married in 2014 and relocated to Augusta, Georgia where she began her studies in dentistry at the Dental College of Georgia (DCG) and obtained her dental degree (DMD) in 2018. During her time at DCG, Dr. Hancock served in multiple leadership positions such as the Dental Entrepreneurship Networking Society Representative and Give a Smile Foundation Fundraising Chair, as well as a tutor for the fellow students. She received several scholarships including the Lettie Pate Whitehead scholarship.
In her practice, she is a proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Georgia Dental Association (GDA), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). Dr. Hancock is passionate about continuing her education and giving her patients the best in care. She continues to grow in her practice learning new and exciting ways to give back to her patients.
Now with a family of four, Dr. Hancock is excited to be back in Valdosta, closer to family, and to bring beautiful and healthy smiles to South Georgia. In her spare time, Dr. Hancock enjoys weekends in the mountains, spending time with her family and two Boston Terriers, Bilbo Waggins and Taylor Sniff.
Dr. Hardy Gray
Dr. Gray was born in Augusta, Georgia. During high school he played mostly baseball and football.
In 2005 he graduated from Georgia Southern with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and during his time there he was fortunate enough to play football for the Eagles from 2000-2004. During this time they won a National Championship in 2000 and the Southern Conference Championships in 2000,2001,2002 and 2004!
Dr. Gray worked in the Engineering field from 2005-2010. While engineering was rewarding and interesting to him he wanted to be involved with helping people on a more personal level. So, in 2010 he returned to Statesboro, GA and started the journey to become a dentist. In 2012 he again graduated from Georgia Southern, but this time with a degree in Biology. He went on to attend the Medical College of Georgia in 2016 with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine Degree. During his time at MCG he was awarded numerous scholarships for this hard work and dedication to learning such has the Dolly C Hearn Scholarship (2015), SGA Award for Excellence (2015), OKU Professionalism Award (2015), OKU Professionalism Award (2015), Hudson J Powell Memorial Scholarship (2014), TY Cobb Memorial Scholarship (2013-2016) and the Candler County Physicians Scholarship (2014-2016).
Dr Gray is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, GADPAC, and Southwestern District Dental Association. Dr. Gray is the current President Elect of the Southwestern District of the GDA. He has served on numerous committee's and task forces within the GDA and is currently a member of the Board of Trustee's, a delegate in the House of Delegates, member of the Medicaid Taskforce, and member of Taskforce to Evaluate Bylaws's and Governance of the GDA. Dr. Gray attends numerous continuing education classes yearly in order to deliver his patient's the newest and most effective treatment options. He holds his oral sedation license as well in order to offer his patients an added level of comfort.
In 2010, Dr Gray married Dr. Lundie Spivey Gray who studied Early Childhood Development at Georgia Southern University and went onto complete her doctorate level studies. She is originally from Douglas, GA which is why they decided to settle in Valdosta, GA. They have three beautiful children Amellia (6), Parker (4) and Jewels (2). In their spare time they love spending time at the beach, the farm or anywhere together. Dr. Gray loves fishing and especially offshore fishing when he can find the time in his busy schedule. Dr. Gray looks forward to meeting you and your family soon!
